On Thursday last week I took the Kraft Road Off ramp on my way home from work. There was a lady on the side of the road in a white Uno, flagging down motorists to help her…. I thought nothing of it at the time. Until the following day, when a colleague came into work and told us that her husband had been held up by a lady on the side of the road that he had stopped to assist as it appeared she had broken down – he had stopped to help her as he had once owned an Uno and knew quite a bit about the car and thought he could help! She took all his belongings, thankfully leaving him with his car keys. And she was quite polite about it all.

And then today – I came off at Jet Park off ramp, and guess what I see – the same lady on the side of the road in the same Uno.. This time I was alert and noticed that there are no number plates on the vehicle. I reported the incident on the ‘Bad Driving’ Help Line they now have and was advised that they would investigate.

This is just to warn residents that might possible use the off ramps for whatever reason – be alert. Be safe.
