• Housebreaking and theft in van Vuuren on 18.2.10 at 07h52. Door taken off Zozo hut.  Lawnmower stolen.

• Other theft in Village on 18.2.10 at  10h52. She put her cellphone down on top of a printer and when she went to get it she found it had been stolen – possibly by one of the workers.

• Other theft in Oak St West on 17.2.10 at 11h06. A worker stole a DVD player. It was recovered from the worker.

• Domestic violence in Derwent on 17.2.10 at 14h39. Suspect arrived at the premises. Argument ensued. He is not allowed on the premises as he has a drug problem.

• Other theft in Wilge on 17.2.10 at 13h15. A packet containing money was put in the safe. Next day money was missing from the safe.

• Attempted theft of motor vehicle in Spray on 17.2.10 at 20h39. VW bakkie door and ignition damaged.  Suspects were disturbed.

• Theft out of motor vehicle in Linnet on 14.2.10 at 02h41. Radio and speakers stolen out of his vehicle.

We have been advised that there is a silver Mazda with 2 Black males (currently in the Witfield area – but could move on elsewhere)  visiting homes under the guise of Firearm Inspectors.  They are asking people if they have a firearm, and if so they need to inspect their firearm safe.

This has been queried with the Boksburg North SAPS, who have advised that these people are not genuine Inspectors and the SAPS are currently following up on this information.
