  • Attempted other theft in Lonkfellow Rd on 21 March. Suspect tried to steal gate motor, without success.
  • Theft of motor vehicle in Browning St reported on 21 March. Toyota Corolla stolen – parked across the street.
  • Housebreaking and theft in Taurus St reported on 20 March. Flat broken into. Jewellery and cellphone stolen

Suspicious vehicle warning: White Opel Cadette

Received information from the Centre Manager of Eastgate Shopping Centre
Bedfordview. According to her, on 28/02/2009 at 19:40 she was
followed-home from the mentioned shopping centre to Alberton via the
N12 highway to her home at Alberton, by an unknown number of A/M
suspects driving in a white Opel Kadett reg no DKY347GP (False Plates).

  • Theft out of motor vehicle in Kei Rd reported on 8 March. Door lock broken on Citi Golf.  Frontloader stolen.
  • Domestic violence in Menete Close reported on 8 March. He was under the influence of alcohol and threatened his family with a firearm.
  • Housebreaking and theft in Susan Rd reported on 6 March. Lock on outside building forced open.  Lawnmower stolen – recovered in neighboring back garden at 10 Susan.
  • Other theft in Chaucer St reported on 5 March. Gate motor stolen.

Call for information: Gold BMW

At 14h16 on 05 March a group of 4 black males driving in a GOLD 3 SERIES
CONVERTABLE BMW with the reg. PDG robbed the occupants of a home in
Mackenzie Park South.

They initially stopped outside the house and pretended to ask the owner
for directions, they left and a few minutes later arrived in the house
and commenced to rob them at gunpoint.

is able to identify this vehicle.

  • Domestic violence in Man Rd reported on 2 March. Mr K phoned to say his wife was causing trouble on the premises.  Mrs K phoned the SAPS to come get her husband who was drunk and he was the one causing trouble.  The SAPS allowed Mr K to get into his vehicle and drive off.
  • Other theft in Gamtoos Rd reported on 5 March. 3 Black women in a BMW pretended they wanted to look at the house for sale.  While inside the house, they grabbed client’s handbag (containing cash) and ran off.
