  • Other theft at Bayley's Quick Spar, 23 September. A Black man, was caught stealing cheese. Suspect was arrested.
  • Theft of petrol at BP in Tom Jones, 24 September. White male in a RunX put in petrol and drove off without paying.
  • Cable theft cnr Windermere/Derwent, 22 September. 50m aluminium cable found.
  • Attempted Housebreaking in Daffodil, 25 September. Neighbour phoned to say she saw a Black man run into the above address. Patrolman found broken bedroom window. Patrolman heard glass breaking. Suspect broke another window and fled without gaining entry.
  • Dog poisoning in Cloudy, 25 September. 1 dog poisoned.
  • Theft of motor vehicle in Village, 26 September. Citi Golf stolen from the premises.

  • Armed robbery in Mercury, 11 September. Suspects followed worker from the bank.  When she went into her yard, 3 suspects (1 armed) came in and held her up.  They took R20 000 plus her Nissan bakkie, which they abandoned at Alphen Park Centre, where a silver Avanza was waiting for them. 1 suspect was arrested there.  Second suspect was arrested at Lange Hardware.
  • Armed robbery in Byron, 11 September. When the victim drove into his yard and just before the gate closed, 3 armed Black men entered the premises and held them up. Back door of house forced open. He and his wife were tied up. Jetta and Polo taken. Not sure what is missing from the house
  • Attempted theft of motor vehicle in Sapphire, 12 September. Door lock on Ford broken and wiring ripped out but they were unable to take the vehicle.

  • Attempted other theft at Engen on Mercury/Sapphire, 5 September. 2 suspects tried to steal a compressor. Suspects were arrested.
  • Domestic violence in Southy, 5 September. Husband was under the influence of alcohol and refused to let wife leave and they started arguing.
  • Armed robbery at KFC on Mercury/Sapphire, 6 September. 4 armed Black men entered the premises and held everyone up. They took cash and cell phones.

  • Theft of motor vehicle in Heywood, 27 August. Toyota Corolla stolen – parked in front of premises. Vehicle recovered cnr Mariner and Southy – door locks damaged.
  • Dog poisoning in Kei, 27 August. 2 dogs poisoned.
  •  Housebreaking and theft/Theft of motor vehicle in Sapphire, 29 August. Front door forced open and electrical goods stolen. Victim’s Opel Corsa was also taken.
  • Attempted theft of motor vehicle in Godwin, 29 Aug. 2 Black men tried to steal victim’s BMW. Door lock broken but suspects were disturbed.
  • Other theft in Didre Close, 29 Aug. Fridge and TV missing. Victim thinks her boyfriend still has a key to the house and he came and stole the goods. No forced entry.
  • Theft out of motor vehicle in Rothmans, 29 August. Window of Corolla broken. Golf clubs stolen.
