A black male was caught stealing scrap from a premises in Wordsworth St. at 23h07 on 26th September. Suspect was arrested.
At 03h24 on 21st September a man came into the Engen shop on Bayley St. to buy cigarettes. His bank card was not accepted by the machine. The man grabbed his card and cigarettes and ran out.
Housebreaking and theft occurred at 15h22 on 19th September at Farrarmere Country Estates. Suspects opened the back window. Laptop, jewellery and cellphones were stolen

The following vehicle "Look Outs" have been issued by Linden SAPS - 17
September 2008:
VEHICLE LOOK OUTS
1) White VW Golf and/or White Mazda Etude. Registration number PNV268GP
or MYB757GP or VDK...GP. Involved in business and residential robberies:
1, 2 or 3 black male occupants. Occupants are armed.
2) Light coloured (light grey, off-white or silver) Opel Kadet.
Registration number of KDX995GP involved in car jackings - - false
plates.
3) Brown / Gold 1980 Mercedes Benz driven by one Indian man, carrying a
suit case inside his car with sweets inside - - moving around schools.
Residents, schools and businesses are urged to be cautious and not take
chances.
GENERAL
4) Criminals CONTINUE to making use of state and municipal vehicles and
uniforms to gain illegal access to properties. These include City Power,
City of Joburg (Valuation, Rates and Taxes) and even Roads Agency
vehicles and uniforms.
Should your property be approached and they are suspicious. Please call
10111.
It is no use going inside to call or check, establish that they are
suspicious and then go back outside again. During the time you are
inside, they most likely will have gained access to your property.
Please inform your domestic workers. These incidents take place during
the day.

There was an armed robbery on 11th September 2008 at 01h07 on the corner of Bayley and Main st.
The victim stopped at the robot and was boxed in by a Golf and a Mazda. He was dragged out of the vehicle and a gun was held to his head. They took his cellphone.
Theft out of motor vehicle occurred on 12th September 2008 at 06h53 in Tugela road.
A Tazz was broken into and radio and beer stolen out of vehicle

A Citi Golf was stolen from outside premises in Mercury street on 9 September.
A worker also put in R700 worth of petrol at the BP on Tom Jones St, took the money but did not pay it in. He left the premises without informing anyone.

5 or 6 armed men entered the premises and tied up the occupants. Cellphones and cash stolen.
Attempted theft of motor vehicle
There was an attempted theft of a motor vehicle on 1 September 2008, at 04h34.
A client spotted someone at his Nissan Sentra and when he went out the suspects ran away. The back small window of the vehicle was broken.
